Fried apples with oats // MINE

Ingredients:

6 medium apples of your choice, skinned and sliced into uniform pieces 1 can pears in natural juice (DO NOT DRAIN JUICE!) 1/2 cup unsweetened apple sauce 1 TBS EACH: ground cinnamon; ground cloves; ground nutmeg 1/4 c butter, gently melted in a frying pan or skillet 1 cup rolled (NOT instant) oats

Directions: Mix together well all ingredients EXCEPT the oats and butter
Place this mixture into a pre-heated (medium low) frying pan or skillet with 1/4 c melted but NOT browned butter and cook COVERED for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, remove lid and add oats, stirring until well incorporated in the fruit and fruit juice mixture. Next, place this entire mix into a greased or aluminum foil lined 8 inch pie pan, cover and bake for 15 minutes in pre-heated 350 degree oven. ** Remove covering and allow to cook an additional 5 minutes **Optional step-I just like mine to be more like a baked oatmeal type dish.
