Corn Bread

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup butter with

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 3 eggs

  • 1 2/3 cup milk

  • 2 1/3 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 cup cornmeal

  • 4 ½ teaspoons baking powder

  • 1 teaspoon salt

Directions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees | Grease a 9 by 13 baking dish

  1. In a mixing bowl, mix together flour, cornmeal, baking powder, and salt and set aside.

  2. In a stand mixer, cream together butter and sugar until lightly fluffy.

  3. Beat in eggs one at a time. Then add the dry mixture and milk alternately until just combined. Pour batter into prepared baking dish.

  4. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and the toothpick comes out clean.
